Just a few km away from El Tunco the town of El Zonte is located. Smaller community also with several hotels, hostels and restaurants. More quiet without big bars. Divided by the river mouth makes El Zonte a perfect right hand rocky point break, but in the other side you also find left section during the high tide at a beach break. Further down the beach to the west, lies a sweet cobblestone / sand bottom wave called Olas Permanentes that can be really fun in smaller conditions.
