El Tunco is a small bohemian town surrounded by tropical forest, just walking distance from La Bocana and Sunzal breaks. Located about 50 minutes from the International Airport. Named after a big rock in the ocean in the form of a pig, being the most popular beach destination in El Salvador, also internationally. Several hostels, hotels, restaurants and bars are found in town. Close by there are other activities to be found like hiking the waterfalls of Tamanique or visit the local fisherman’s pier of La Libertad.
